CBRE appointed to manage Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock

CBRE has been appointed by Royal Albert Dock Liverpool freeholder Gower Street Estates to provide property management services at the iconic dock.

The 1.25m sq ft site is located on Liverpool’s UNESCO World Heritage waterfront, and contains the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in the UK.

It comprises offices, retail and leisure along with tourist attractions including Tate Liverpool, Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum and the Beatles Story.

The site was recently granted royal status by the Queen to mark its role in the city’s maritime history.

CBRE will be responsible for delivering day-to-day property management of the dock on behalf of the freeholder.

Sue Grindrod, chief executive of the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, said that the freeholder chose CBRE for its “placemaking experience”.

She added: “There has never been a better time to join us here at Royal Albert Dock Liverpool as we enter an exciting new era in its 172-year history, counting up to 2021 when we celebrate the Dock’s 175th anniversary.

“As we build up to this milestone with new developments and investments, including the new Welcome Pavilion, which is set to open in 2019, and with footfall remaining very strong, the scene is set for a positive economic outlook for the Dock.”
