CBRE strategic projects development director Lorna Walker has left to join a Round Hill-backed modular homes start-up.
Walker will join Modomo as co-founder, chief operating officer and head of ESG.
Modomo currently operates in London but will expand to Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen and Lisbon, according to its website.
The start-up’s new homes will be aimed at 50-75% of market price and will use undeveloped land in major cities to build temporary modular homes on the site, before taking them away for reuse after an agreed period of time.
Walker joined CBRE in 2007 as a graduate surveyor. She worked her way up to UK capital markets director in 2013, and held the position for more than four years before being appointed as strategic projects development director in 2018.
