CBRE is allowing all new parents, regardless of gender, the same amount of paid leave following the arrival of a child.
CBRE said that all parents employed by it, regardless of gender, sexual orientation or how they become a parent will now be offered the same benefit; employees with more than six months’ service will receive three months’ full pay, while those with more than 24 months’ continuous service will qualify for six months’ full pay.
Paul Hawtin, CBRE UK human resources director, said: “CBRE is striving to create a diverse and inclusive working culture. We already offer a market-leading maternity policy, including a bespoke mentoring programme, keeping in touch and return to work assistance, along with family friendly policies which support flexible working.
“The updates to our shared parental leave policy will go a long way in levelling the playing field, increasing equality and encouraging the uptake of shared parental leave, which has historically been fairly low across all industries.”
