CBRE expands Scotland team

CBRE-THUMB.jpegCBRE has appointed Mike Rose as an associate director in its rating and taxation department in Scotland.

Rose joins the Glasgow team after 25 years at Rapleys and two years as a consultant, working in both Scotland and England. He has experience in the fast food, motor trade and road side sectors.

Rose will work with Brian Rogan, head of the rating and taxation team in CBRE Scotland.

Rogan said: “Mike’s appointment enables us to add further depth to our existing expertise in business rates advice and allows us to expand our offering and client list.

“This strategic appointment comes at what is a critical time for business ratepayers. It is only a year to go before the next business rates revaluation and high-profile changes to the unoccupied rates relief system are due to come into force on 1 April.”

The advisory firm has also appointed Angela Lowe as senior director in the national agency and development team.  Rowe joins from Cushman & Wakefield and will be based in the firm’s Edinburgh office.

Miller Mathieson, managing director of CBRE Scotland, said:  “Angela brings a wealth of experience in the Edinburgh market.”
