CBRE Global Investors has brought in Andrew Davey from Topland Group as fund manager for its UK Long Income Fund.
He will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the fund, transactions and portfolio management.
Davey was at Topland for more than two years as an investment manager, having joined from Aviva Investors, where he held several positions over the course of 10 years, including assistant fund manager on the REaLM suite of funds focusing on income strips and co-fund manager on Aviva Investors’ Long Income Fund. He was also fund manager for the long-income portfolio of the staff pension scheme.
“The UK Long Income Fund was launched last year in response to the increasing demand for low-risk, low-volatility, liability matching cashflows from UK institutional investors,” said Michael Ness, head of UK at CBRE Global Investors.
“Andrew comes with a strong background in long income and we welcome him to the team. He joins a growing funds team looking after our increasing suite of PAIFs.”
The CBRE UK LIF was launched in July 2018 with £300m of seed capital. The fund is open to new investors.
