CBRE GI makes Reading buy

CBRE Global Investors has bought a WH Smith-let shop in Reading for £8.3m on behalf of clients.

The price paid to DTZ Investment Management for 22,487 sq ft 38-39 Broad Street reflects a 6.1% yield.

The building is let to WH Smith Retail Holdings with an unexpired term of just under 10 years.

Paul Griffiths, head of UK investment at BNP Paribas Real Estate, which advised DTZ IM, said: “Due to the building’s prominent location, we were able to efficiently dispose of this prime retail investment on behalf of our clients.”

HP Four acted for CBRE GI.
