CBRE Global Investors has appointed Jeremy Plummer as its new head of Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He replaces Pieter Hendrikse.
Plummer will continue as chief executive of CBRE Global Investment Partners, the joint ventures arm of the fund manager.
The new EMEA head, who has 28 years of experience in property investment, has been with the company since 2006 when CBRE GI acquired Oxford Property Consultants, which he helped found in 2001.
As chief executive of CBRE GIP, Plummer is responsible for separate mandate accounts, joint venture investments and secondary investments in real estate funds.
In February his division launched an $840m (£577m) fund for investment across Europe with equity from six institutional investors.
The day-to-day running of CBRE GIP passes to chief investment officer Ian Gleeson.
Hendrikse has stepped down after 17 years with the business. He joined in 1999 as managing director of the Dutch arm of ING Real Estate Investment Managers before taking on the chief executive role in 2003.
He was at the centre of negotiations that merged the business with CBRE GI in 2011.
He will continue in an advisory role in the short term.
Plummer’s promotion comes weeks after a management shake-up at CBRE GI.
Ritson Ferguson replaced Matt Khourie in March as global chief executive of CBRE GI, moving from chief investment officer.
Ferguson was also head of the securities arm of the business, Clarion.
