A team of four from CB Richard Ellis’ North West office have won an impressive third place in one of the toughest national charity events in the UK, writes Harry McMillan.
After months of training and preparation, Michelle Lefton, Laurie Lane, Stephen Richardson and Nick Nelson from the CBRE team completed the Mega Hike in 18 hours and 28 minutes.
They raised more than £1,700 for Medequip4kids, a charity that provides paediatric medical equipment.
In total, 47 teams participated in the event. Each team comprised four hikers and had just 24 hours to complete the gruelling 50-mile circuit, which started and finished at Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough.
