CBRE has hired JLL’s Mason Gillard-Ellis as a senior director in its UK and European living team, specialising in capital markets deals for purpose-built student accommodation.
Gillard-Ellis will be responsible for the origination and execution of pan-European portfolio sales and acquisitions in the sector. He will work with Oli Buckland, head of PBSA investment in the UK, and report to Andrew Saunderson, head of UK residential capital markets.
At JLL, Gillard-Ellis was a director and member of the capital markets team since 2018, focused on living sector transactions in the UK and Europe. His work included advising GIC and Greystar on their acquisition of Student Roost, as well as the disposal of more than 3,500 beds for Harrison Street across separate transactions.
