CBRE Hotels is in talks to expand its hotel asset management capabilities by teaming up with specialist firm Vision Hospitality Asset Management.
The pair are in preliminary discussions about joint business opportunities that could lead to a purchase of Vision by CBRE Hotels.
Vision was set up by Clive Hiller, a former Hilton vice president, in 2001 and provides advisory and consultancy to investors in the hospitality sector. It manages more than 140 assets, ranging from portfolios to individual hotels, and has a team of 26 people.
Hillier said: “We feel that there may be opportunities that we are not exploiting separately and that we could do together. I wouldn’t rule anything in or out.”
CBRE has been on the acquisition trail as it moves to further strengthen its market share.
Last year it snapped up niche West End agency Franc Warwick and Covent Garden and residential specialist EA Shaw.
CBRE Hotels declined to comment.
