CBRE Investment Management has appointed Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan infrastructure and natural resources managing director Kerron Lezama as a senior director in its private infrastructure team.
At OTPP, Lezama was responsible for origination and asset management of infrastructure investments across EMEA, with a focus on regulated and unregulated utilities and transport.
He also spent more than 11 years at Evercore advising on high-profile deals within the infrastructure sector.
In his new role, Lezama will report to head of Europe private infrastructure Andreas Köttering. CBRE IM said he will be “instrumental” in his team unlocking global investment opportunities.
Based in London, Lezama will be responsible for sourcing and executing direct equity investments, as well as supporting the development of infrastructure investment strategies. He will play a leading role in all aspects of the investment process and will be involved in the asset management of the firms’ portfolio companies.
Lezama will join a 65-strong private infrastructure team based across Toronto and London.
