Renewable energy company Red Rock Power will open its new base at Excel House, 30 Semple Street, Edinburgh.
The 57,000 sq ft sustainable office development is being delivered by Corran Properties on behalf of CBRE Investment Management and is due for completion in September.
Red Rock Power will occupy 8,135 sq ft of workspace on the fourth floor of the building from spring next year on a long-term lease.
Frazer Wardhaugh, chief legal officer at Red Rock Power, said: “30 Semple Street is the perfect home for us as we continue to grow our operations in the UK and Europe. Its green credentials, attention to detail and modern finishes are parallel with our own vision and the move will mark a key step in our own evolution as a business.”
Excel House is set to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding rating, NABERS 5* certification and a platinum AirScore.
This is the second prelet secured in the building after earlier this year pensions and investment adviser Hymans Robertson committed to 14,880 sq ft of space across the fifth and sixth floors on a 15-year lease at £45 per sq ft.
CBRE IM was represented by Knight Frank, Cuthbert White and Brodies; JLL and Addleshaw Goddard advised Red Rock Power.
