CBRE makes European data centre push with senior hires

CBRE has made two senior appointments for its data centres team in Paris, as part of its expansion drive in Europe.

The firm has hired Jeptha Allen as a senior director within the digital infrastructure advisory team and Michael Cohen as a data centre advisory director. Both will be based in Paris.

Allen, who has more than 15 years of experience as a data centre business development director, will lead on programme management and strategy deployment for enterprise clients reviewing their data centre and IT infrastructure strategies. He is joining from Green Sparrow Consulting.

Cohen will be responsible for identifying, developing and winning specialist IT infrastructure advisory and data centre-focused real estate opportunities.

Andrew Jay, head of EMEA data centre solutions, advisory and transaction services at CBRE, said: “We have seen rapid growth in the data centre market – over the past five years we have seen supply grow at twice the speed across the core markets, and it is essential that we can respond to the growing demand.”
