CBRE names Brum promotions

CBRE-THUMB.jpegThe Birmingham office of CBRE has promoted Ed Gamble and Ashley Hancox to executive directors.

Gamble, one of Birmingham’s best-known investment agents, works in CBRE’s capital markets team and has more than 15 years’ experience in property investment across the industrial, office and retail sectors.

Since joining from JLL in 2011, he has acted on some of the city’s biggest property deals including advising CBRE Global Investors on the acquisition of Seven, Eight and Ten Brindleyplace for £131m. He also acquired Priory and Temple Court for £80m on behalf of Legal & General and advised IM Properties on the sale of the Euro Car Parts unit at Birch Coppice.

Hancox has been head of office agency at CBRE in Birmingham since 2008 when he joined following CBRE’s acquisition of niche property agent GSD.

In 2010, he was promoted to head of regional office agency and last year he spearheaded the relocation of CBRE’s HQ from Cornwall Court to new offices at 55 Temple Row.

The duo will continue to develop their respective services lines as well as support managing director Martin Guest in driving the growth of the business.

Twelve people have been promoted in CBRE’s Birmingham office, including five staff moving up from senior surveyor to associate director. They are David Bullimore, Stelios Demetriou, Simon Etough, Jan Losch and Sarah Pritchard.
