CBRE names new head of UK valuation

CBRE has promoted Lee Bruce to head up its UK valuation business as current head Nick Knight moves into a new senior strategic role at the firm.

The reorganisation comes at a time of major disruption for the valuation industry as a whole, driven by the influence of technology, data and AI, as well as reporting regulations introduced by the RICS last year prompting operational change.

Bruce said: “It is an exciting time to be taking on this new role and I am looking forward to leading our market-leading valuation business through its next evolution of growth.”

Bruce will drive improvement in efficiency and innovation within CBRE’s valuation business and will also work closely with other leaders from across the business to drive greater synergies and create more integrated solutions for clients.

This includes CBRE’s capital advisors as the team looks to grow its valuation services to lenders.

Bruce, who is an executive director, joined CBRE 20 years ago and has held prominent leadership positions within the valuation team, firstly as head of long income valuation and latterly as head of fund valuation.
