CBRE has hired former head of global real estate at BlackRock Marcus Sperber as a consultant.
He joins the agent this month as chair of its newly created strategic investment advisory board. The board, which will meet quarterly has been set up to provide governance across all investment client mandates, reviewing strategy and performance, and to ensure consistence of service.
Sperber has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate industry. Following a 17-year career with BlackRock, he most recently founded investment and advisory business NorthCroft Capital, and holds a number of non-executive roles, including at Cadillac Fairview and Regal London.
Graeme Rutter, executive director and head of CBRE’s investment advisory division, said: “With his wealth of experience and innovative thinking, Marcus will add an extra dimension to our strategic advisory board to the significant benefit of our clients at CBRE.”
Sperber added: “This is a unique opportunity for me to use my experience working alongside the exceptional talent that sits within CBRE and help enable long-term and excellent performance for their clients.”
