CBRE reshuffles investment and Trammell Crow leadership

CBRE has rejigged its real estate investments and Trammell Crow leadership, with an increased focus on investment.

Mike Lafitte

Mike Lafitte, global chief executive of CBRE’s real estate investments division, will now also take on chief executive responsibilities for Trammell Crow, the firm’s development subsidiary.

Current Trammell Crow boss Matt Khourie will move into the newly created position of chief investment officer. He will report to Lafitte and will focus on allocating CBRE’s equity capital into direct real estate investments and funds as well as real estate investments-related initiatives.

Khourie will also assume the duties of CIO of Trammell Crow when current CIO Craig Cheney retires in April.

Elsewhere in the Trammell Crow business, Adam Weers will be promoted to chief operating officer on the retirement of incumbent COO Mike Duffy in April.

Lafitte and Khourie take up their principal positions on 1 January.
