Jonathan De Mello, CBRE’s outgoing head of retail consultancy, is set to join Harper Dennis Hobbs.
De Mello is understood to be joining the niche retail practice alongside two other members of his team at CBRE.
As revealed by EGi, De Mello, a senior director, is leaving after three years at CBRE. He is expected to join Harper Dennis Hobbs at the end of May.
The trio will add a further dimension to Harper Dennis Hobbs’ growing business.
In May, it launched a corporate outsourced real estate management team, seeded by Aurora Fashions’ property contract. It is led by former Aurora property director Ian Dudley.
Harper Dennis Hobbs has advised on a raft of recent new shop openings including J Crew, West Elm, and is looking for a flagship for American Eagle. It is also advising Oxford Properties on its acquisition of the Royal Exchange in the City.
