CBRE seeks Liverpool Princes Dock hotel operator

CBRE Hotels has launched a search for a hotel operator for a scheme on Liverpool’s waterfront.

The hotel forms part of Lead Asset Strategies’ £130m New World Square scheme at Princes Dock, where permission was granted for a 224-bed hotel in December 2006.

CBRE Hotels is seeking a four- or five-star operator.

It said Liverpool’s hotel performance remained “strong”, with good levels of hotel occupancy and rates.

Malmaison opened a 128-bed four-star hotel at Princes Dock in 2007, the company’s first new-build scheme.

New World Square also includes 16,900 sq ft of commercial space, 8,000 sq ft of offices, a 4,500 sq ft restaurant and 356 flats.

CB Richard Ellis has been appointed agent for the overall development.
