CBRE turns to JP Morgan for top European advisory post
CBRE has hired a top real estate banker from JP Morgan to head up its corporate finance advisory business in Europe.
Benjamin Rouah has joined CBRE Capital Advisors as head of strategic advisory for continental Europe, according to a statement from the firm.
In his new role, based in Paris, Rouah heads up a team working with clients on M&A and corporate finance deals.

Rouah joined from JP Morgan, where over an almost-18 year career he was most recently head of real estate for France and Belgium.
Rouah’s team will work alongside a UK team led by Tim Ryan, head of strategic advisory. Recent deals for the division, which sits within CBRE’s wider corporate finance division, include advising Axa on its €1.1bn (£1.01bn) acquisition of Northstar Realty Europe.
Announcing Rouah’s appointment, Ryan said: “We have a strong pipeline of work in the UK and are looking to expand our capabilities in continental Europe.”
