CBRE wins hotel remit at Ashwell’s CB1

Paul Thwaites’ Ashwell Land has appointed CB Richard Ellis Hotels to find a hotel operator at its giant cb1 scheme in Cambridge.   Ashwell lodged revised plans for an £800m Richard Rogers-designed mixed-use scheme on 21 acres in the centre of Cambridge earlier this month.   The scheme proposes a 150-bed hotel alongside 580,000 sq ft of grade A offices, 625,000 sq ft of housing a new transport interchange, a public square, and community, retail and leisure uses. joanne.payne@rbi.co.uk
