CBREI unveils plans for Brum Minworth park

Minworth Trading Park

CBRE Investors has unveiled proposals to transform Birmingham’s Minworth Industrial Estate.

In addition to the existing 1970s built B1, B2 and B8 space at the estate, a new trade counter planning consent has been granted and the estate has been re-branded as a trade park.

Part of the 279,515 sq ft scheme will remain for industrial use and will also undergo a refurbishment.

The first phase of refurbishment will be completed by next spring, and includes the demolition of two units and the refurbishment of several buildings.

John Roberts of joint agent CBRE, said: “All the buildings are being improved to bring them up to a more modern specification, and extensive landscaping will give the site much more prominence.”

Occupiers include Plumb Centre and City Plumbing Supplies.

CBREI acquired the scheme – close to Junctions 5 and 6 of the M6 – earlier this year from Standard Life

Colliers CRE and Harris Lamb are letting agents.
