CBRE’s head of EMEA retail exits

Nick Martel, head of EMEA retail advisory and transactions at CBRE, has left after 13 years with the agency.

Martel, who was previously also chief operating officer and head of retail strategy at the agency, had joined CBRE in 2006.

Before that, he was property director of retailer GAME for two years.

His previous roles also included vice-president of corporate real estate for Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic in the US and Canada, and property director of Gap’s UK operations.

It is the second senior exit from CBRE to emerge in recent weeks.

Richard Williams, who had worked at CBRE as UK managing director of asset services since 2010, left the agency earlier this month to join Avison Young as a principal and head of property management consulting.

Both CBRE and Martel declined to comment on his departure.
