CBRE’s London residential business has poached Ross Howard, the chief operating officer of JLL’s UK markets group.
Howard, who has spent 10 years at JLL, will join CBRE London Residential as chief operating officer, where he will help managing director Lisa Hollands and chairman Mark Collins lead the 120-strong team.
It is the latest in a string of appointments and corporate acquisitions by CBRE’s London residential business, which five years ago employed just four people.
Hollands said: “Ross’s arrival will add immensely to our future growth plans. His expertise will bring another powerful dimension to our residential leadership team, and enable us to give the best service to our clients and their projects, thus ensuring we continue to retain and grow these relationships and instructions.”
As chief operating officer of the UK markets group at JLL, a role he took on in 2010, Howard had responsibility for business groups including capital markets, office agency, retail, residential, logistics, lease advisory and development.
