Fast-growing CCN Group, a subsidiary of Great Universal Stores and one of Nottingham’s biggest employers, is looking for a site in the city to build 6,503sq m (70,000sq ft) of offices.
The credit checking, marketing and business information company, which owns Goad Plans, currently occupies a total of 20,400sq m (219,600sq ft) of freehold and leasehold offices in the city centre. It employs over 2,100 people in Nottingham.
CCN recently took the 2,787 sq m (30,000 sq ft) first phase at Wilson Bowden’s Riverside development, and has committed itself to the remaining two 2,787 sq m (30,000 sq ft) phases.
Local sources consider that Riverside must be a strong candidate for the new building. Euan Lindsay, of Wilson Bowden, said they were talking to CCN about Riverside and sites elsewhere in Nottingham.
A CCN spokesman said the company would have taken up all the space it had signed up for at Riverside by the end of 1998 and would require another site to build another 6,503sq m (70,000sq ft) for 600 people.
CCN does not retain a property adviser. Its property services manager is Wilson Hogg.
