Cedar House reveals Derby hotel plans

Ramada Encore, Derby

Cedar House Investments has revealed plans for a £10m hotel at its The Point scheme, at Pride Park in Derby.

The 112-room Ramada Encore hotel developed and operated by hotel operator BDL Management is being built on the former Bombardier bogie site at the 12-acre The Point site on Pride Park.

The new mid-range hotel will open towards the end of this year.

When complete, the Point will see the roll-out of an additional 300,000 sq ft of commercial space bringing 1,000 new jobs to Pride Park.

Chris Carlisle, managing director for Cedar House Investments, said: “Over the past nine years Cedar House has developed over 500,000 sq ft of commercial space on Pride Park, including offices, industrial, leisure and car showroom space.”

The final phase of the scheme will be an office village housing both speculative and bespoke offices.

Innes England and Russell Rigby & Co advise Cedar House Developments.
