Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White has bolstered his restaurant empire with the acquisition of the Maypole Group portfolio.
The six pub-hotels were bought for an undisclosed sum from the administrators, Baker Tilly Restructuring & Recovery.
The portfolio is understood to have attracted interest from around 20 parties.
The Maypole Group was founded in 2003 to acquire countryside hotels with restaurants and pubs attached. It collapsed into administration last October. It comprises a portfolio of pub-hotel accommodation across Norfolk, Suffolk and Wiltshire.
