Planning permission has been granted for the construction of Ireland’s first Center Parcs holiday resort.
The €230m project will employ around 1,000, as well as creating 750 construction jobs.
The resort, close to Ballymahon in County Longford, is due to open in 2019.
The facility forms part of the wider £500m regeneration masterplan
The proposals are expected to guide future investment around the area
