The proposed £350m rail link between Paddington Station and Heathrow Airport is being delayed by an argument about the colour of its trains. Railtrack wants the trains fronts to be painted yellow in line withstandard safety practice but Heathrow Express, the company running theservice on BAAs behalf, wants to scrap the colour for aestheticreasons.
The dispute has delayed the award of a safety certificate for theservice which was due to open in June 1998.
