A £55m price tag has been put on the most expensive flat at Almacantar’s Centre Point redevelopment on New Oxford Street, W1.
The 7,223 sq ft, five-bedroom duplex penthouse will be the highest residence in the West End and comes in at £7,615 per sq ft.
The iconic 33-storey tower is being turned into 82 luxury flats. One-bedroom flats of 744 sq ft start at £1.8m, or £2,419 per sq ft. Average values will be around £3,500 per sq ft.
Residents will be able to move in from 2017.
Almacantar, run by chief executive Mike Hussey and backed by the Agnelli family, bought the 233,000 sq ft building in 2011 for £120m from the administrators of Targetfollow (Centre Point).
CBRE and Savills have been appointed as selling agents.
