Centrica sublets 35,000 sq ft at Staines’ Orbis Buildings

Centrica has sublet 35,000 sq ft of offices and taken an option on a further 20,000 sq ft from Oracle at the Orbis Buildings in Staines.

The gas and electricity supplier is understood to be paying around £25 per sq ft on a five-year lease at Building 2. The superior landlord is P&O.

It is also understood to be looking at its longer-term options and reviewing a potential 150,000 sq ft prelet in the town.

The news comes as engineering firm JP Kenney is thought to be weighing up taking 60,000 sq ft at the Compass Point offices in Staines.

CB Richard Ellis acted for Oracle; BNP Paribas Real Estate acted for Centrica. All parties declined to comment.
