Regeneration specialist Centros has appointed the architects and advisers for its 200,000 sq ft Coppergate scheme in
Architects CZWG and Holder Mathias will design the scheme while King Sturge will advise on planning, leasing and development.
Centros is development manager for owner LaSalle Investment Management on the site, which is situated in the city’s historic Castle Piccadilly area.
Richard Wise, chief executive of Centros, said: “We are keen to press on with developing plans and ideas for this strategically important site and these appointments enable us to move to the next level.

Land Securities sold the Coppergate shopping centre and adjoining development land to LaSalle Investment Management in February this year. The amount was not disclosed, but the site was originally marketed for around £50m.
Land Sec’s plans for the site included a Debenhams department store, 22 shops, flats and a car park. They were subject to a lengthy public enquiry before being thrown out in 2003.
