Centros signs two in Bury St Edmunds

Centros has signed up two further retailers to its 265,000 sq ft retail-led development, arc, in Bury St Edmunds.

Bestseller will take a 5,600 sq ft standalone building facing onto arc’s central square and is expected to trade on two levels as Vero Moda and Jack & Jones.

Outdoor specialist Blacks has taken a 4,400 sq ft shop between River Island and Paperchase. It will also trade on two floors.

Both retailers are expected to open their shops in early June. arc opened on 5 March.

David Lewis, associate director at Centros, said: “With Hobbs, Animal and River Island all opening in the past week and HMV opening in May, this is more great news for arc’s shoppers. Bestseller in particular is a real coup for Bury St Edmunds as it is, we believe, the first time the company has taken a store in a town of this size.”

Jones Lang LaSalle, Knight Frank and Mason & Partners advised Centros.
