Century Capital secures £100m NatWest funding line

Specialist lender Century Capital has gained a funding line of up to £100m from NatWest, boosting its strategy for growth and access to capital for deployment.

The lender, which finances prime real estate across the residential and commercial investment and development sectors, said the funding line would help increase transactional flow towards its “ambitious” growth targets. It is mainly focused on properties in London and the Home Counties, providing loans of up to £10m.

Paul Munford, chief executive at Century Capital, said: “The additional funding line is a welcome addition for Century at a pivotal time when we enter a new phase of ambitious growth.

“This facility provides further firepower to our lending capability and the talent of our team. Our pipeline for 2023 is strong and this significant fundraise will help us considerably to achieve new growth targets and build the company.”

George Ross, managing director and head of specialty finance at NatWest, said the facility was “a financing solution that meets [Century Capital’s] continued growth ambitions”.

Ross added: “This facility enables Paul and his team to deliver for even more customers and supports the funding of the real economy.”

Century Capital, which was founded in 2012, said it had provided more than £200m of financing and experienced no capital losses to date.
