CGT union against France Telecom property sale

The CGT trade union, representing post office and telecommunications workers in France, has spoke out against the decision by France Telecom to sell some of its property assets.

The union described the decision as “a new step in the process of dismantling the company”.

France Telecom announced on Friday that it was holding talks with three investors (CDC, Goldman Sachs and GE Capital) to sell part of its property for between ¬2bn (FFr13.1bn) and ¬3bn (FFr19.7bn).
