Chains link up to WestQuay

Byron-burger-THUMBRestaurant chains Wahaca, Zizzi and Byron have signed up for space at Hammerson’s WestQuay Watermark in Southampton.

All three are making their first appearance in the city.

Wahaca will take 3,140 sq ft, Byron will take 3,820 sq ft and Zizzi will take 3,015 sq ft in the £70m development.

The news follows the announcement in August that the Showcase Cinema de Lux will open its first 10-screen cinema in the South at WestQuay.

Sarah Fox, head of restaurants and leisure at Hammerson, said: “We have secured a great first line-up of restaurants for WestQuay Watermark. There is a real opportunity for the development to attract restaurant brands that are new to the city and provide strong appeal for customers further afield.”

Hammerson started work on WestQuay Watermark on 5 January 2015 and is scheduled to open the scheme in autumn 2016.
