Chalkhill Partners has boosted its European real estate loan origination team, adding two further members to the expanding division.
The boutique investment bank has recruited Oliver Jackson, who previously worked as a director in HBOS’s joint ventures business, which is now part of Lloyds Banking Group.
The firm’s head of strategy, Janaka Nanayakkara, is also transferring to the origination team, which has been set up to provide alternative debt finance sourced from insurance companies, mutual funds and private equity firms throughout western Europe.
The appointments follow two hires in September, when Ricky Kullar, formerly of Paul Taylor’s Three Delta, and Andrew Sutherland, HSH Nordbank’s head of real estate origination, were appointed.
Chalkhill executed its first deal in December and is mandated on more than eight further deals, according to co-founder Stewart Booth.
He said it is a “new world for borrowers”, who have to look further than their traditional banking relationships.
