Redwood Bank, a challenger bank that counts Warrington borough council among its backers, has started operations.
The bank will offer savings accounts and mortgages to small businesses, focusing on Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
Co-founder and chief executive Gary Wilkinson said the bank was perfectly positioned to help SMEs take advantage of property opportunities by offering a highly tailored service.
