Chancerygate has bought sites in Buckinghamshire and South Northants to develop 212,000 sq ft of light industrial space, with a combined gross development value of £34m.
The developer aims to speculatively develop 156,797 sq ft of light industrial space across 15 units at an 8.9-acre site on College Road North, in Aston Clinton. The facilities will range from 4,370 sq ft to 41,366 sq ft.
A planning application for the scheme, which has a £25m GDV, will be submitted this spring. It was acquired from Aston Clinton-based Midwinter Property Holdings for an undisclosed sum.
Chancerygate has also purchased a 2.5-acre site at Boundary Road Industrial Estate in Brackley from a private vendor, where it intends to speculatively develop 55,000 sq ft of light industrial and warehousing space across 14 units. These will range from 2,500 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft.
Alastair King, head of development at Chancerygate, said: “We are committed to developing these multi-let schemes speculatively to meet the high levels of demand we’re seeing from a wide range of occupiers.”
Chancerygate has up to 3m sq ft of industrial space in its pipeline across 23 sites ranging from Bournemouth to Edinburgh.
JLL and Brown & Co are the sales agents for the Aston Clinton site, while the vendor for the Brackley site was advised by Brown & Co.
