Chancerygate buys Sidcup site from Tesco

Chancerygate has acquired a 225,000 sq ft site in Sidcup, south-east London, from Tesco for a warehouse development.

The industrial developer plans to build a 120,500 sq ft, 13-unit scheme.

The acquisition comes after the company redeveloped the former Klinger Factory site in Sidcup and presold 130,000 sq ft last year.

The total amount of development land that Chancerygate has acquired in 2018 is now more than 1.3m sq ft. It has 580,000 sq ft under construction across seven schemes, with a further 1.7m sq ft being brought forward.

Savills advised Chancerygate; GL Hearn acted for Tesco.

Last year, Chancerygate also forward-sold two of its development schemes in Chelmsford, Essex, and Enfield, north London, to Royal London for £33.5m.
