Channel 4 has shortlisted seven locations for its new national headquarters and 13 locations in the UK for its two creative hubs.
Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow and the West Midlands are all possibilities for the relocation of the broadcaster as part of its “4 All: the UK strategy”, in which Channel 4 plans to increase its nations and regions content spend from its current quota of 35% to a new voluntary target of 50% by 2023.
More than 30 submissions were received by Channel 4 when it asked local governments to pitch earlier this year.
Channel 4 will make a decision on its new locations in October, following a further period of consultation. The company is aiming to move into its new headquarters by the end of 2019.
