Channel 4 will sell its London headquarters as it closes channels and cuts 18% of its workforce.
The broadcaster has confirmed plans to leave the office at 124 Horseferry Road, SW1, and find new “fit-for-purpose” premises.
About 200 staff will be made redundant, with a further 40 unfilled roles scrapped as it reduces headcount to 2021 levels from around 14,000.
It remains committed to having 600 roles based outside London by 2025.
Channel 4 has been at the Richard Rogers-designed, Grade II listed 124 Horseferry Road since it opened in 1994. It commissioned the 160,000 sq ft building in 1990.
The state-owned but commercially funded broadcaster has launched a five-year strategy to become a mainly digital streaming service by 2030.
