Channel Tunnel ‘safe from earthquake’

Eurotunnel has sought to reassure the public that the Channel Tunnel has been unaffected by an earthquake that hit the Kent seaside town of Folkestone on Saturday morning. A spokesman said the tunnel was built with tremors in mind, and it was built to survive earthquakes with a significantly higher magnitude than Saturday’s one.
