Chao Baby says hello to Bullring

Chao Baby Spicereal Street 570p

Hammerson, Henderson Global Investors and Future Fund have announced the final restaurant to join Spiceal Street, the dining extension to its 1m sq ft Bullring shopping centre.

Chao Baby, the Thai-banquet style restaurant owned by the Chaophraya restaurant group, will be the first of the group’s restaurants to open in the Midlands, and its fifth in the UK.

The group has signed at 15-year lease on the 4,250 sq ft restaurant on an annual rent believed to be around £185,000.

The restaurant, which will feature a jellyfish tank and open kitchen, is scheduled to open in the winter.

Cushman & Wakefield and BWD advised.
