Charity and social: Hadley gets peeling in Poplar

Hadley Property Group has launched a volunteering initiative with community group Neighbours in Poplar to support its foodbank, which feeds more than 100 residents in Tower Hamlets every week.

Staff at the firm have been volunteering with the community group to help with food preparation tasks, including peeling vegetables, packing cold lunches and local deliveries.

Over the past month the Hadley team has helped the charity with 64 hours of volunteering.

Shaftesbury does charity in style

Shaftesbury has supported charity pop-up installations along Carnaby Street during this year’s London Fashion Week, which took place from 18-22 September.

The projects, in collaboration with the British Fashion Council, included the sale of limited-edition T-shirts created by five UK designers to support refugee charity Choose Love, and a solo exhibition by photographer Montana Lowery to raise money for conservation charity WWF.

Money from sales of the T-shirts will help projects on the ground and support displaced people in 14 countries.
