Charity and social: Steptober walkers raise more than £100,000

The fourth annual Steptober challenge, powered by headline sponsor Logicor and regional sponsors Pinsent Masons and Stride Treglown, starred more property professionals than ever before.

The 14-day challenge saw 1,264 participants take more than 166m steps and raise over £117,000 for the fight against youth homelessness.

The event culminated with a virtual awards ceremony on 15 October. The TFT Consultants team, One Step Beyond, won the award for most steps taken – an impressive 1.69m – while Jacqui Allen, partner at TFT, earned the prize for top stepping individual, recording 552,596 steps, an average of 39,471 steps a day.


Cain announces new charity partner

Cain International has announced XLP (The eXceL Project) as its new charity partner. The urban youth charity works with more than 4,500 young people each year across nine London boroughs through education, sports and the arts.

Over the course of the three-year partnership, Cain will commit more than £250,000 to XLP in support of fundraising initiatives and mentoring activities.


Truslove hits the street for Worcestershire hospice

Ben Truslove of John Truslove Chartered Surveyors & Valuers has raised more than £2,000 for the Primrose Hospice in Worcestershire by running the Chester Marathon.

The money raised will provide vital care for patients with life-limiting illnesses as well as care for their families.


Belleveue surveyors Go Beyond to help children

Belleveue Mortlakes Chartered Surveyors has raised £15,000 through its football tournaments for children’s charity Go Beyond.

The funds raised will enable the charity to support more disadvantaged young people with free respite breaks in the UK countryside.
