Charity calls for network of suicide prevention centres

The City Parochial Foundation has called for residential centres for those feeling suicidal to be opened across the country.

The charity’s call comes on the back of the success of Maytree, a centre set up by a former Samaritans volunteer, in north London.

Guests on the brink of suicide stay for a few days to get them through a crisis period.
