A question of raising money for children

The fifth annual Question of Sport charity dinner in aid of Rennie Grove Hospice Care has raised £48,000. Sponsored by Aitchison Raffety, the event was held at Sopwell House in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and was attended by 260 guests.

This year’s hotly contested quiz came down to a three-way tie-breaker with a team from Tring, headed by Rennie Grove trustee Chris Langford, narrowly defeating Debenhams Ottaway and the 2017 winner PwC.

The compere was Sky Sports presenter Geoff Shreeves, who took charge of the charity auction, raising £27,000. Prizes included Wimbledon tickets, a private dining experience and a made-to-measure suit.

All funds raised will help the hospice provide care and support for adults and children with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
