Privately-owned surveyor and valuer Charterfields has hired former Colliers International director David Fowlds to launch a Manchester-based property agency.
Fowlds will operate from Charterfields’ office in Bruntwood’s City Tower and will handle acquisitions and disposals as well as provide consultancy advice, Charterfields’ agency services have previously been provided out of the firm’s Sheffield office.
The firm’s Manchester office was set up in 2007 by director Ian Maycock, who specialises in asset valuation and disposal services for insolvency practitioners. The firm has also hired asset valuers Declan Kilbride from Edward Symmons and Matthew Corcoran from JPS Surveyors.
Fowlds was previously the head of Colliers’ commercial lease consultancy team in Manchester and Leeds.
Ian Maycock said: “Charterfields’ Manchester office has seen year on year growth over the past four years. We have always planned to launch a property agency here and feel the time is now right and that David is the right person for the role.”
