Cheesegrater-THUMB.jpegA trio of firms including Kames Capital have signed for close to 100,000 sq ft at British Land’s and Oxford Properties’ Leadenhall Building, EC3, dubbed the Cheeegrater.

The £58bn fund manager has taken a 12-year lease for the 13,286 sq ft level 26, while Brit Insurance and Banco Sabadell have signed for a further 66,292 sq ft and 18,059 sq ft respectively. Brit will occupy levels 16 to 18, 39 and 40 on a 15-year lease and Banco Sabadell has signed for 18,059 sq ft over levels 37 and 38 on a 10-year lease.

Rents range from £55 per sq ft on the lower floors, which were let by Aon in 2011 pre-completion, to £90 per sq ft for level 44, which was let by Affinity earlier this year.

DTZ and JLL are letting agents; Savills advised Brit; Cushman & Wakefield acted for Banco Sabadell; Kames Capital was advised by DTZ.
